About Us

Gold Leaf Events was born in 2019 out of a passion for planning events and bringing people together. Krista Powell and Lisa Buchanan have have over 10+ years of experience planning weddings, galas, festivals, luncheons, conferences, receptions and more! They are certified event planners and are located in Minnedosa but love planning and holding events all over Manitoba.

Lisa is married and has two beautiful little boys. She loves the country life with her chickens, rabbit and dog! She works in our local art studio and is new to the vendor family as an Usbourne Book seller (It Starts with a Book). She loves spending time with her family and friends, camping, and decorating cakes!

Krista is married and has two fur babies that she treats as children! She is animal obsessed, she loves spreadsheets, and when she isn’t working at her daytime job in Brandon, she is always making something. She works in marketing and dabbles in HR. Her side gig is Silver Leaf Creations and has just this past year added wreath making to her resume!
